Our wild Alaskan salmon oil is also good for cats, or ferrets, or pretty much any pet who could benefit from Omega-3 fatty acids.
We do recommend consulting your veterinarian before supplementing or changing your pet's diet.
Yes!
The salmon are wild-caught off the coast of Alaska and processed in our facility on the East Coast of the United States.
Molecular distillation is the process applied to crude salmon oil to remove all the mercury, heavy metals and other toxins.
The benefits of molecular distillation of salmon oil are:
1. Purer salmon oil
2. More Omega-3
3. Less smell
During molecular distillation, the salmon oil is heated in a vacuum where the heavy metals and other toxins can then be separated from the pure salmon oil.
Heating the salmon oil in a vacuum allows it to be refined under much lower temperatures as to not break down the oil and ensure its purity and efficacy.
Your salmon oil may have a slightly different color because the salmon are wild-caught.
It is normal for naturally-occurring products to have slightly varying color and viscosity from batch to batch.
The nutritional value and guaranteed analysis are still the same even if the color is different.
If you suspect your salmon oil is rancid or bad, please contact us since we take our happiness guarantee seriously.
We recommend refrigerating our wild Alaskan salmon oil to extend its shelf life by avoiding exposure to direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
If stored correctly, the salmon oil can last up to 4-6 months, but we always recommend smelling the salmon oil if you suspect it has gone bad. If it smells extra fishy or extra rancid, it might be bad.
If you have a lot of salmon oil left please contact us, as we take our happiness guarantee seriously.
Sometimes our fur-babies just don't like the taste, and that's ok!
We take our happiness guarantee seriously and would love to give you a full refund. No need to send the bottle back too. We just ask you give it to a furry friend who may want to try it.
If you still want to give your fur-baby omega 3, check into products like krill or flax seed.
It will depend on the size of the bottle that you purchase.
